# Entry B — the book

## What this book is

The argument, whole. The first edition argued meaning-through-connectivity from first
principles; since then the estate has BUILT the argument: a document decomposed to the
word with stable identities, an engine that computes meaning deterministically with
provenance, registers where humans correct the machine's proposals, vaults and sites
where the grammar runs in production. Book B is the edition that argues from first
principles AND from the running system — the book the title has been waiting for.

This is not a revision of the first book and not a tour of the repo. It is a fresh book
with full editorial freedom, drawing on both.

## Editorial charter (proposals, not orders)

- **A possible spine**, offered to be improved on: (i) a node is just a node — the
  five-minute argument, sharpened; (ii) the grammar — verbs with distinct inverses, the
  banned generic edge, paths that read as sentences; (iii) the fractal principle —
  graphs of graphs, local vocabularies, name clashes as non-problems; (iv) anchors and
  bridges — don't merge, connect; the confidence ladder; enrichment over enforcement;
  (v) provenance — the fact/formula/bridge three-layer peace treaty; (vi) meaning,
  computed — the universe method and the WCLM as the existence proof (tokens as content
  hashes, layers as named transformations, contradictions said out loud, senses and
  analogies as authored world models); (vii) the fractal in practice — the vaults, the
  network of sites, spreadsheets of spreadsheets; (viii) how to start — the reader's own
  first graph, tomorrow.
- **Worked examples over abstractions**: the two 8080s, the five Reviews, the 2FA graph,
  Article 26(5), "meaning without connectivity" contradicting the world, graph-as-chart
  losing the fractal. Every chapter earns at least one figure taken from the live
  estate.
- **Positions carried honestly**: the Semantic Web disagreement stated narrowly, the
  GraphRAG and RDF positions as `/v1/why-graphs/` states them, proposals marked as
  proposals.
- **Book A is your reference universe** if it exists by the time you write; if not,
  anchor directly to the corpus — do not wait on the other session.

## What done looks like, beyond the shared bar

A reader who knew nothing of this estate finishes the PDF able to (a) state the thesis
in their own words, (b) apply the edge grammar to a system they know, and (c) explain
why the WCLM's determinism matters to the argument — and a reader who knows the FIRST
book finds this one goes further, not merely again.
