The book
This address is a pointer, not a shelf: it always points at the current edition, whatever that is. Editions live at their own versioned addresses and never move; this page is the one thing that changes when a new edition takes over.

Looking for something to read today? The finished book is the first edition. The second is being written from the top down as a graph, and its front page says what exists so far and what happens next.
